Godly community

You were never designed to follow Jesus in isolation. Coals separated from the fire go cold — that is not a personality issue, it's physics and it's scripture.

Why it matters

The early church stayed together in teaching, fellowship, breaking bread and prayer. Iron sharpens iron; two are better than one because one can lift the other up.

Community is where your gifts get used, your blind spots get named, and your burdens get shared.

Scripture
  • Acts 2:42

"And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers."

  • Hebrews 10:24-25

"Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together... but exhorting one another."

  • Proverbs 27:17

"Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend."

  • Ecclesiastes 4:9-10

"Two are better than one... for if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow."
