Spiritual gifts
Every believer receives something from the Spirit — not for status, but for service. Gifts are tools for building up the body of Christ.
What scripture lists
Wisdom, knowledge, faith, healing, miracles, prophecy, discerning of spirits, tongues and interpretation. Also serving, teaching, encouraging, giving, leading, mercy, helps, administration. Christ also gives apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers to equip the church.
Different gifts, same Spirit. No gift makes you superior, and no gift is missing on purpose.
1 Corinthians 12:4-7
"Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit... But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal."
Romans 12:6-8
"Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us... let us wait on our ministering."
Ephesians 4:11-12
"For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ."
How to find and use yours
Ask God. Then start serving where there's a need — gifts get discovered in motion, not in theory. Notice what you're drawn to, what bears fruit, and what mature believers around you affirm in you.
Whatever you have, run it through love. Gifts without love are noise.
1 Peter 4:10
"As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God."
1 Corinthians 13:1-2
"And though I have the gift of prophecy... and have not charity, I am nothing."
This page is a tool, not an authority. The word is the authority — line everything up with scripture, stay in prayer, and let the Holy Spirit be your teacher.
